Personality:
ClepSword has somewhat of the hippe personality. For a dwarf. He loves nature and animals, and spends most of his time sketching still life or making clay skalptures. Some of his skills include gardaning, skalpting, tree climbing (haha) and hunting. (Though he dose not like to do it, he loves the meat.) ClepSword always tries to stay alert, so prefers the quiet. If sombody jumps up and yells in his ear, if he dose not draw a weapon, that sombody will get the meanest and quietest lecture that sombody will ever here. He believes heavily on training and health. But he still dose enjoy the occational drink. His ability to yell came from the military, from his general who was pushy, even for a general. Still, after years of care and being together, he still loves his general, and the other men he fought with. (Not in a gay way, but in more of a family way. Like brothers and sisters.)
ClepSword is more desterbed by seeing an animal ingered, over a human dead. Any act of stupedness or intolerence twists his stomich, and he feels like punching the guy. Especialy when sombody dose somthing wrong, just to act tough. On the other hand, he hates to be angry, and hates to fight. Violence is always next after a long perioud of ease. He is not very paitent, so his hippe personality may turn to the military personality quickly.
Even elves don't bother him much. He has never acctualy met an elf, but has hurd rumors of them, and has the wrong idea, but still will not let that make his decitions, and will wait until he acctualy meets an elf befor he starts to realy judge. And not just one, but at leat three. If they are all negitive, then that will be enough for the rumors to seem true. Anyways, he feels more negitivly towards humans. It was common that even when ClepSword needed atention from feeling so upset from a war, he was tossed in bars. The general, a human, stood up for ClepSword, and punished the men who would do this to anyone. Human, dwarf, or cat. Dew to this attitude, from the general and other humans, he discovered that not everyone is like that, so tries his hardest to get to know a person befor judging, but with the wrong first imprission, it is sometimes hard.
Background:
When Jesica Jellwig was pregnent with Colon Jellwig's child (ClepSword), she knew that there would not be enough room for a family in the trashy trailor the newlyweds lived in. The days of farming were uncommon, and home investment was cheep. Wanting to start a buisness, and having room for the family, Colon and Jesica invested in land. Just to there luck, some old relitives of Jesica's were wanting to move away for retierment. However, her relitives wanted to keep the farm in the family, so turned to Jesica. After talking with Colon, and raking up the junkfood money, they agreed to take it.
Two months later, there boy ClepSword Casper Jellwig joined the family. Colon, having many crafty friends, started a baby shower, reciving many towels, blankets, bottles, books and more. Anything necisary for the baby that wasn't given to them was bought from the best carpenters. With the remaning money, the Jellwig's were able to spend some cash for farming porpuses. But what to grow? Colon, being the nature loving charector he is, noticed the bees had been active this season.
Why grow somthing, he thought,
when the bees can just do work for us? I love honey! There is not much being sold in this area, so it must be a great profet maker! And that is just what he did. Poles and nets were set up, to be an attractive nesting area for bees. He also planted many flowers, which grew almost instently. Where the bees were not active, there was rain, when there was sun, there was photosinthises. Those months just worked out perfectly for him and the family. Colon was confedent there would be a profit making crop in no time! But, just in case, he left room for wheat, so he could make flour for bread. Even though there would be no honny for the bread. Like I said, farming was uncommon in this time, so a good profit was made for wheat, as it was a staple crop.
As the spring season past, the wheat had dried up and died. The nests, however, were confedently growing. A miniture market was held at the streets on the month of June. Jesica was busy with the baby, where Colon made there first honey sale! Some of the people had never had anything like it, and have never even heard of honey. Soon, the word was spred, and more costomers arived. There were, Colon noticed, at least two stands selling bread, one just accross and two the left of Colon's area. Together, they made a huge profit from the sweet craving costomers.
Knowing that the season would eventualy end, and the bee activity would slow, Colon saved the money earned, using only some for food. (Mostly bread, the two salesmen made a deal to give eachother a jar of honey for a loaf of bread). With the profit, Colon was able to grow another crop. This time, in cranberries.
Every once in a while, Jesica would let the short child swim in the cranbaries, as long as he was recently changed and washed. ClepSword loved these swims. If he was not drowning on the sweetness, he was splashing in the ozziness. Jesica was extra careful to make sure that no bees had died in the cranbaries, just in case ClepSword decided to eat one. The cranbaries were definetly a good idea. For some reason, the farming of cranberries just came naturaly to Colon. Now that the bees had slowed down, there was a feild of cranberries to be sold. Even after the huge amount of money spent, the Jellwig family still managed to gain a profit.
Farming wasn't the only thing that was low in those parts. The use of lumber had also been looked for. ClepSword's family had not much need for it, exept in the winters. Nor for most of the other dwarfs. The need of lumber had been more seeked by the men. A war was started because of it, the Jellwig farm in between the two fighting conties. There was good in all of this evil. Many times humans would pass by for a drink of crandbary juice, or some honey for bread and the long trips. Also, when one peticularly kind human was at the shop, caring flowers in his hair, ClepSword was intorested. The descovery of his enjoyment for flowers was descovered, as he made his first steps.
Though there was much trouble in that land, the family did not want to move. They promised to keep the farm in the family, and were making good buissness anyways. They just had to be careful of getting in the middle of battle, or catching a plage. Still, they remained with there normal life. By the time ClepSword was two, Jesica and Colon had twins. Two girls, Xena Volts Jellwig and Sapphire Waveena Jellwig. It was the best thing that happened in ClepSwords life. This is when he gained two new friends.
When ClepSword was nearly five, and the twins were about two and a half, and the war had continued, the battle grew. This time, even though the lumber issue hadn't been solved, a "new reason" for the war was anounced. Nobody was told what this new reason was, or if they were being trueful at all. All they new was, the area where they lived was in deep trouble. Colon, living in the area for so long, became mayor. More and more presure was introduced to him, and he was on the verge of suicide. But he had his wife, and three kids to look after, so held together.
At the age of ten, when ClepSword was old enough to help on the farm, (the girls were two, but Clep being more experienced, and older was ofted the one expected to do the chores, taking for granted that he did more work when he was eight, then the girls are doing now. But he was never angry about this, just jelous. He wanted to play with his friends. His sisters.) the Jellwig family noticed that the bees had been acting unaturaly in the cranbarry feild, as if there nest were tossed in it.
It was not uncommon for them to steal some of the sweetness, and often die in the field, but this was different. Together they went to see what the disturbance was. As the parents of ClepSword got near, the bees attacked. ClepSword in a panic fell, and was trapped under the cranberries for a minute, drowning. When he finely got free, the terror only increased. His parents were gone, along with most of the bees. A few still flying endlessly. Frightened, ClepSword swam to where the bees had attacked, dunking himself whenever he feared getting stung. That is when he noticed what was going on. That was the first time ClepSword had ever found a dead body. But it was not the body of his parents. This was the body of a human.
The orfint childran were adopted from a more violent family. Colon's friend, the bread sailsman insisted to take them, but was denied. They said
"he was two old, and wouldn't be able to take care of three children on his own. This is a hard time for them." The family was human, but the adopted children dwarfs. The male was a soldier, who had been part of the war for only a year. His name Robbert. The female was a hunter, supying the family with lots of meat. Her name Judy. The children were not used to this. They were never expected to eat a dead animal befor, and were spoiled from the sweetness of the farm. The human parents considered them picky. Which may have been true, but the full truth is, they just didn't find what they did like to eat. The personalities and tastbuds were extreamly diferent.
About two weeks later, the bodies of Mr. and Mrs. Jellwig were found by investigators. It was said that the parents of ClepSword, Xena and Sapphire were killed by bees. He didn't understand. The bees had always been friends to the family. They never atacked. It was also said by the investigators, that the man found dead earlier had been killed the same day. But he was killed by an arrow, the arrow removed, and the body tossed in the feild. Needless to say, that the cranbaries were no longer avalible for sale. They were all poisned by the blood of the man.
ClepSword, being the "man of the house" was put into cadets. He didn't like the idea of having a shaved head, and needing to ware a boring outfite. But Robbert forced him to stay in. The war had only grew more terible. One day, Judy took the girls hunting. What a woefull day that was. A mage was hired for a fighting army, and the mage, confusing the hunting girls for enamies, cast a spell creating a minor explotion. In fear the girls ran. Xena triped over a branch, and fell to the muddy ground. Sapphire tried to be brave, and save her helpless twin. She knocked her arrow, and fired an arrow at the rash mage. The arow never reached the mage, but stoped in a tree. He noticed that they were fighting back, and forged a stronger explotion, heading directly for Sapphire. She was hit, and was killed.
This was the breaking point for ClepSword. He advanced quickly in his Cadets class, and soon was taken into the army. Robbert took great care of ClepSword, and gave him intence training, but comfortable love. He would protect ClepSword in training, and would risk his rank to explain an order if the young boy did not understand. This did not happen often. Judy took Xena, and moved away, trying to be free of the dangers.
It was a cold winter, when Robbert and Clep were at a vidle point. At the month of November, he was taken into his first live battle. Unfortunatly, the battle was lost, and the remainder of the living knights were retreated. ClepSword barly made it out alive. His ankle was twisted, but that was not enough to take him out permenently. When he was in the medics, getting many visets from his "father" (it started to feel like it to ClepSword) he met two human knights also in the previous battle, close to his age. They were much taller of corse. One of them introduced themself as TJ, and the other as Berry.
