Have you ever dreams about playing a half-dragon. Then you should check this place out. It is an RPG where you write what/how your character reacts/interact with other character (or NPCs). This site is still under construction.

PostSubject: 1. How To Make a character   Tue Mar 04, 2008 2:37 pm

It is rather simple to create a character. Under your profile you will be able to find a character sheet, which is somewhat similar to the one added in this thread.

There are some simple rules that you will need to follow when making you character. Once that character have been approved - Approved will appear on the tread subject after the characters name.

  1. Do not use any naughty, swearing, cursing words in your characters name, and try to avoid using names from know fantasy novels (such as Dragonlance and Forgotten Realms).
  2. Do not use pornographical images.
  3. Follow the rules set by the Forum administrators.

Please follow this guideline for making you character:
1. Find a name for you character. It is reconmented that you use either your login as part of you name, or you change the login to your characters first name.
2. Choose a Race to play (you can find all of the avaialble races under the Character --> Race section.
3. Your profession, will be choosen base on the group that you are going to apply to. (Cleric, Fighter, Magician or Rogue)
4. The Dragon Type will be chosen for you, once you have befriended one. (This will happen around the 2nd year of school).
5. Choose a Gender for you character.
6. Your starting age is 15. This indicates that you are ready to begin you special training. The starting age of 15 is for humans, gnomes and halflings only. Dwarves start at the age of 100 and Elves at the age of 150.
7. Special Abilities will be filled by the DragonMaster based on you Race choice.
8. Please make a good description of you characters Appearance. (Or you can use a image.).
9. Please make a good description of you characters Personality. This is how your character will behave and reach towards others, and it will have an effect on the choice of dragon.
10. Please make a good description of you characters Background.
11. Choose the languages of you character (Based on Race and Profession).
12. The starts for Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, Charisma will start at the value of 10. Your choice of species will affect these stats.
13. The starts for Melee Weapon Usage (Strength), Ranged Weapon Usage (Dexterity), Defense (Constitution), Magick Points (Intelligence + Wisdom) is calculated based on a specific stat.
14. Find a god that your character whould like to worship, this is most important for Clerics to do so, but it is suggested that everyone choose a god to worship.

Once you have created you character dont forget to add you character to the Player Character section to get it approved.

You should consider using your stats as your signature, that way everyone who want to have some action (like a fight) can see you characters stats in the post instead of having to search you character everytime.

PostSubject: Abilities   Sat Mar 22, 2008 12:01 am

Abilities
You character have 6 different abilities, these affect the charactes Melee Weapon Usage, Ranged Weapon Usage, Defense and Magick Points value. But before going into the rules for calculation you combat abilities it would be appropriate to start explaining the different abilities first.

Strength is a measure of your charactes muscle and physical power. The strength ability is important to fighters as it help them prevail in combat. The Melee Weapon Usage is equal to your strength

Dexterity is a measure of your characters hand to eye coordination, agility, reflection and balance. The dexterity ability is important to Rogues. The Ranged Weapon Usage and Defense is equal to you dexterity.

Constitution is a measure of your characters health and stamina. The constitution ability is important to all classes, but fighters needs it the most. When you character takes damage, you loose points in you constitution.

Intelligence is a measure of your characters learning ability and reasons. The intelligence ability is important to Magicians. Half your intelligence score (rounded down) is added to the Magick Points.

Wisdom is a measure of your chracters willpower, common sense, perception and intuition. The wisdom ability is important to Clerics. Half your wisdom score (rounded down) is added to the Magick Points.

Charisma is a measure of your characters force of personality, persuasiveness, personal magnetism, ability to lead and physical attractiveness. This ability can be imporatant to all classes, but is mostly important to Clerics.

No ability can be decreased below 10 points (except by choice of race), and no ability can be increased above 20 points (except by choice of race or teachers, which is not allowed to be above 30).

It is fairly easy to raise the characters abilities, when you send the character to the DragonMaster (or another moderator) for approval, you should write down which abilities you have chosen to increase.

You have 20 points to distribute on your characters abilities.

Languages
It has come to my attention that there are some people here that belive that they can choose an almost unlimited number of languages for the character. This is absolutely absurb. Your character is only 15 years old, and when you were 15, how many langugages did you know.

Therefore the following have been revised.

All character have Common and their Racial Language (see the race description).

Magicians are allowed to choose the languaga Draconic as this is the language their spells are written in. Clerics are allowed to take the languages of their god (e.i. Infernal for Bane) to communicate with him/her during prayers.

Should you choose to take some of the Race Bonus Languages you will be required to include the learning and acquisation of this language in your background, and a character is allowed a maximum of 3 languages to begin with.
