Clerics are a bit like holy warriors. They are first and foremost priest of their god, and a guardian of others. Their spells are meant for healing and protecting both themselves and others, and only a few real battle spells, depending on the god of which the cleric work for. For example would a priestess of Loth rather have a lot of spells that makes other suffer and only a few that heal wound, though a priest of Tyr have a lot of protection spells to defend those in need, and a few battle spells to help serve the right.
They use blunts weapons as maces and clubs even whips, that don’t draw blood. Off cause use of imagination can make them draw blodd, but that is up to the single individual.
The dragon one choose also have a lot to say about it, where a cleric bonded with a blue dragon might have illusionary spells, a cleric bonded with a shadow dragon might have spells that allows them to flee if battle is too much.
Clerics don’t need to learn the spells as the magicians do, with long study hours deeply buried in a book written in a weird language, every spell they have is granted to them by their god or dragon. While the magicians need to study all the time, the cleric needs to be in the favour of their god, and cannot do everything they want, since they depend on their god as much as they fight for it. Therefore every cleric chooses their god with extreme care, choosing the god exactly right for their conscience and personality.
Interaction with Dragons:Clerics use dragon to create even more powerful healing magic, as most dragons have the ability to regenerate, this ability is transfered to the Cleric as a power that he/she can use to heal others. They also use the dragon as mount.
Should the Cleric and dragon be seperated, then the Cleric looses his/her granted healing abilities.[/
